Our story
Rasee Rescue began the way most rescues do, with dogs we could not walk past. In Vavuniya, street dogs are part of daily life. Most are gentle. Many are hungry, sick, or hurt, and almost none have ever known a safe place to sleep.
So we started feeding. Then treating. Then sheltering. Today, Rasee Rescue is the street dog rescue and caring initiative of Raseena International (Pvt) Ltd, a registered company (Reg. No. PV 00324086) based on Arasadi Road, Maharambaikulam, Vavuniya.
We are not a large organisation, and we don't pretend to be. We are local people doing steady, honest work for the dogs of our town, and further away too, when someone calls and we are able to go. We welcome anyone who wants to be part of it.

We proudly facilitate international adoptions to connect our rescued dogs and cats with loving families around the world! Every animal waiting for their forever family receives permanent sanctuary care, veterinary treatment, and daily love at our Vavuniya shelter.
